Basket O' Fun Block Pattern by Jessica Steele Design.
 
The Basket O'Fun Block was designed as part of the 2025 Nursery Sampler and is 16.5 inches unfinished.
 
No nursery is complete without a toy basket and as most of my design inspiration comes from the world of sports, the three balls that fill the basket are representative of that first experience throwing, rolling and bouncing a ball.
 
The balls in this block can be made with celestial nursery shapes (moon and stars) or as a basketball, baseball and soccer ball - your choice!
 
This pattern is for the confident beginner and features the following skills:
Strip piecing
Raw edge appliqué
 
Pattern assumes the quilter has basic piecing and quilting knowledge. Fabric requirements are listed in photos.
